Description
The TR-TRD screens are innovative solutions for solid-liquid separation, particularly suitable for high flow rates, and effectively combine filtration and compacting processes. These screens are equipped with a rotating screen basket, available in perforated sheet or wedge wire options, which serves as a filter. This is followed by a transport screw leading to a compacting and dewatering section, optionally equipped with either a chute or a bagging system.
Screenings are transported by a shafted screw to the compacting and dewatering section, where they undergo significant volume and weight reduction, by up to 40%. Typically installed within a channel of appropriate width, these machines can also be placed inside a receiving tank.
There are two models, similar in operational principle but differing in design:
- The first model features a rotary drum screen where the drum and the shafted screw are powered by the same shaft, directly connected to the gear reducer. This configuration is ideal for small to medium-sized rotary drum screens.
- The second model, designed for larger sizes, incorporates a double drive system: one for the drum and a separate one for the spiral conveyor. This allows the drum to rotate at a slower speed than the spiral conveyor, optimizing performance for larger units. This design also potentially reduces the overall absorbed power and the weight of the unit.
