Description
PTK Penstocks are essential devices for controlling water flow, widely used in various applications such as wastewater treatment plants, industrial plants, and other related fields.
The product range includes both 3-sided and 4-sided penstocks, which are the most commonly used types in the wastewater treatment sector. Additionally, they offer weir gates specifically designed for downward opening applications.
These penstocks can be either wall-mounted or channel-mounted. They are typically custom-designed to precisely fit the dimensions of the channel, based on engineering calculations. This bespoke design ensures optimal performance and efficiency in controlling water flow.
The operation of the penstocks can be managed in two ways:
- Manually, through a wheel handle, which allows for direct, hands-on control.
- Remotely, using an electrical actuator, which facilitates the remote operation of the penstock, adding convenience and enhancing operational flexibility.
In terms of construction materials, AWP offers options to suit various environmental and application needs. These include painted mild steel or stainless steel (grades 304 or 316). For specific requirements, other types of steel, such as duplex or AISI 904, can also be utilized. This versatility in material selection ensures that the penstocks can be tailored to meet the demands of different settings and conditions. Typically, the seals used in these penstocks are made from MBR, known for their durability and effectiveness.
